Cheerio

Top o' the muffin to you! Life has changed in a mega huge way for Seneca Maeve these past few weeks. Apologies for the lack of entries, but between grandparents, bike races, and crawling we’ve been a busy lot lately. Yes, you read correctly…CRAWLING. Here’s what’s been happening these past few weeks: Seneca has two teeth on the bottom; loves to eat: cheerios, avocado, mango, strawberries, banana, bread, and yogurt (she’s not allergic to milk). Now she likes to “share” her cheerios, which involves shoving her little pudgy hand into your mouth and releasing the sticky soggy cheerio like thing onto your tongue…mmmm

She began crawling when Nana was up visiting – Jeff an
d I were painting and Seneca decided she desperately needed to examine Nana’s glass full of Polar Seltzer so she crawled on over. Sadly Nana had to take it away – silly baby, seltzer’s for grown-ups. So that was around June 9th – my birthday (happy birthday to me thank you very much) and I suppose Seneca’s gift to me. Now she likes to crawl over to the stereo and crank the volume knob up and bounce around on her little butt. She likes Maroon 5, Jack Johnson, Patsy Cline, and the Dead. She can kinda pull herself up now and will sometimes pull on your legs and bury her head against you…ahhh so cute. She also enjoys playing with poker chips, knocking down the little tower I build out of stacking blocks, and loving on her Apple Dolly dumplin' doll that her cousin Alyssa gave her.

Let’s see what else. Oh yes, she likes to play peek-a-boo. She’ll duck her litt
le head down and when you say “where’s Seneca” she’ll pop it up all smiles and squeal or hide behind a poll and poke her little head around it…again so cute!

She now says “Dada” when Jeff comes into the room and “all hail the best mom in the world” whenever she sees me. Well, not in so many words, but I know those sounds mean something to the effect.

So now with our further delay…here’s Seneca:

I still haven't figured out how to use all the settings on our souped up digital camera hence the constant flashed out pictures. The other day I figured out how to turn the auto flash off and snapped a few natural light photos of the little pork chop.
